HIGHWORTH
CAMERA CLUB - CONSTITUTION 1 The organisation will be known as the "Highworth Camera Club". 2 The Highworth Camera Club will endeavour to promote all aspects of photography. 3 The Highworth Camera Club will be run by a Committee, responsible to the membership, elected annually by members at the Annual General Meeting, which will be held in September each year. An Agenda of the meeting, plus the Minutes of the previous AGM will be published and distributed at least one week prior to the AGM to each paid-up member. 4 Membership of the Camera Club will be open to men and women of all ages. All applications for membership and continuation of membership tp be at the discretion of the Committee. 5 Any member from the previous year will be eligible for election to the Committee at the AGM but the Committee are empowered to co-opt additional members. 6 The AGM must consist of a quorum which will be half the total membership including the Committee. 7 The Officers of the Committee will be a Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and Competition Secretary. In the elected Chairman's absence, the Secretary or the Treasurer respectively will take the chair. 8 Each year the Treasurer will present an audited statement of accounts to the AGM of which each member will receive a copy. The accounts will be proposed for adoption by the meeting and will be signed by the Chairman if accepted. The financial year will run from 1st September to 31st August annually. 9 The Committee will be responsible for subscription rates for the forthcoming year, which cannot be changed without calling an Extraordinary General Meeting of the members. 10 Extraordinary General Meetings can be requested, providing at least four weeks notice is given to the Secretary in writing. The requesting letter, stating reasons, must be signed by at least one quarter of the membership of the Highworth Camera Club. 11 Each decision of the AGM will be decided by vote for or against each motion. 12. The only meeting that can amend this constitution
will be the AGM or a Special Extraordinary Meeting of the members, called
especially to do so. The club may be disolved at the consent of 75%
of members present at an extra ordinary general meeting called for that
purpose or at the AGM |
